How to play Cell Rush

Move toward your cursor, eat food and smaller cells, and use splitting and viruses to turn close fights in your favor.

Core controls

Growing and eating

Colored food increases your mass a little at a time. You can consume another player only when one of your cells is sufficiently larger and overlaps deeply enough. Larger cells move more slowly, so size creates both power and risk.

Splitting and recombining

Splitting gives you reach and speed, but spreads your mass across multiple pieces. Split cells have a cooldown before they can recombine. After the timer expires, guide the pieces together and they will overlap and merge smoothly.

Viruses

Green viruses burst cells that are large enough to consume them. At the 16-cell cap, a virus triggers an overload instead: the struck cell loses mass, sprays recoverable pieces and scatters the group. Ejected mass can feed a virus. The seven indicators show its charge; after enough feeding, the virus launches away from the final shot.

Accounts and skins

Guest play works immediately. Creating a Shring account preserves progression across sessions, works across Shring games and enables Google or email sign-in and recovery. Arena runs award coins and XP that can unlock cosmetic skins.
